of the International Confederation of Medical Students AMSA!
On December 12-13, an interuniversity competition-the Olympiad of medical students "Healers" was held on the basis of the International Higher School of Medicine.
The competition was initiated by the Asian Association of Medical Students of Kyrgyzstan (AMSA-Kyrgyzstan). "HEALERS" is the first ever Interuniversity Competition of the Asian Association of Medical Students-Kyrgyzstan (AMSA-KG), which includes the most prestigious universities in Kyrgyzstan.
Each university participating in the competition fielded its national team consisting of 4 students studying in 6-9 semesters.
The participants of the competition had to go through 3 stages, showing their knowledge and skills acquired in the process of training and passing the practice:
- physical examination: percussion, palpation, auscultation;
- 10 questions on ECG and radiographs;
- practical skills in carrying out resuscitation measures on the phantom.
The team of the Eurasian International University was prepared and accompanied by the head of the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Disciplines Ruslan Timurshin.
In the first stage, the practical skills of medical students in therapy, the use of palpation, percussion, and auscultation methods were determined.
The second stage of the competition was aimed at assessing not only practical, but also theoretical knowledge, erudition, analytical thinking ability, ability to discuss and defend one's point of view.
Following the results of two stages, the team moved to the last round, in which they showed brilliant skills in carrying out resuscitation measures on the phantom.
Our team had no equal in the last round! The Jury members especially noted the excellent training and high-quality knowledge base of our students. The students solved all the tasks with accuracy and enthusiasm, approached the problems logically, and also described their actions very clearly for the evaluation commission.
Following the results of the competition, by a unanimous decision of the Jury, the students of the Eurasian International University were awarded with the highest award in the competition - the Grand Prix Cup!
