Reintroduction of quarantine restrictions possible in Kyrgyzstan

We are controlling COVID-19 situation in the country for 2 months," Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Almkadyr Beishenaliev said.

The Minister said 50-60 daily coronavirus cases were registered for the past month.

"But if we take only PCR positive cases for coronavirus cases, they will make 25-30 cases. We are the only country that counts pneumonia and Covid-19," the Minister said.

In case situation remains unchanged, no restrictions will be reintroduced, the Minister added.

"But if the last year situation repeats and the third coronavirus wave starts, the government will reintroduce restrictions. The third wave may happen or may not. If we begin vaccination, we will be able to vaccinate vulnerable groups before the third wave," Minister Beishenaliev stated.
